The hammer head connecting rod for precision forging machines is the core transmission component linking the driving mechanism to the hammer head. It transmits power under high-frequency impact forging while guiding and positioning the hammer, directly determining forging accuracy and machine stability. Manufactured from forged 30CrNiMoV9 alloy structural steel, each rod undergoes quench-and-temper heat treatment, precision machining and surface nitriding. Key surfaces are finished to Ra 0.4 μm, meeting the strictest requirements of high-end forging equipment.
· Ra 0.4 μm mirror finish – precision grinding and lapping reduce friction and stress concentration, greatly improving fatigue life.
· High dimensional precision – key fits are machined to drawing tolerances and verified by CMM for concentricity, cylindricity and position accuracy.
· Heat treatment – quenched and tempered for an optimal balance of strength and toughness under high-frequency impact loads.
· Surface nitriding – a hard nitride layer (typically HV 600+, depending on material and process) provides wear resistance, fatigue resistance and anti-galling performance.
Applications include radial forging machines producing automotive half-shafts, oil drill pipes, gas cylinders, bearing rings and shaft forgings. Material: 30CrNiMoV9 alloy structural steel — high strength and toughness with good hardenability, quenched & tempered and surface nitrided. Custom machining, OEM and export packaging available.
