New Large Girth Gear Launched by Henan Three Mining Machinery for Kiln & Mill

Luoyang, China — September 22, 2026 — Henan Sankuang Machinery Technology Co., Ltd., a China-based heavy-duty transmission components manufacturer, today announced that its newly developed large cast steel girth gear series has rolled off the production line and is now open for global inquiry and customization on the company's official website.

The newly launched girth gear line covers diameters from 1,000 mm to over 12,000 mm, with single-unit weight from 5 tons up to 80 tons. It is designed for rotary kilns, ball mills, rod mills, drum dryers, coolers and other heavy-duty rotating equipment used in mining, cement, metallurgy and chemical plants.

According to the production director, the new ring gear series is cast from ZG45, ZG42CrMo, ZG35Mn and 42CrMo carbon and alloy steels. Tooth flanks are quenched and tempered to HB 220-280, with gear accuracy meeting ISO 1328 Grade 8 or better. For oversized gears that cannot be transported as a single piece, the company offers both one-piece girth gears and split (segmented) girth gears — two-piece or four-piece designs bolted together on site with controlled joint precision and coaxiality.

All key processes are performed in-house. The workshop is equipped with a full set of large machining equipment, including CNC vertical lathes (VTL), floor-type boring and milling machines, CNC gear hobbing machines, gear shaping machines, vertical heat-treatment furnaces, as well as normalizing, annealing and quenching-and-tempering lines. Casting blank, rough machining, finish turning, gear hobbing and heat treatment are completed under one roof, eliminating outsourcing risk and shortening lead time.

Third-party inspection and custom machining are supported. Before shipment, every girth gear can be inspected by independent third-party bodies such as SGS and BV, including MT/UT, magnetic particle inspection, hardness testing and dimensional inspection. Material certificates, heat-treatment curves and mill test reports are supplied. Customers with special drawings, materials or heat-treatment requirements are welcome — the engineering team issues process proposals and quotations within 5 working days.
